FREE EZINE ONLINE CLASS *** "Joyce, my goal for your class was the outline for one chapter; instead, I received guidance for the entire book." "This is the first time in my life I have actually had a plan for myself (with short-term and long-term goals). I have preached it for years in business, but never planned my own life in that way. It's nice to have a plan for myself......and not what others had planned for me." |
Joyce Lynn, B.S., Education, M.A., JournalismCrossing the plains of Iowa on a train trip in the spring of 2002, I dreamt of two box cars merging. I envisioned joining the dual worlds of journalism and transformation. During the 1970's as a political reporter in Washington, D.C., I covered the Executive, Congress, Federal agencies, and lobbying groups. I wrote what politicians said, oblivious to what they were really doing. I knew something was missing in the left-brain intellectual capital of the world and inside my own being. I studied Transcendental Meditation and then took the est training, two powerful technologies for evincing personal and social change. In 1981, I moved to San Francisco, wrote a screenplay -- and in 1983 remembered my first dream -- ever. The dream imparted the ending for the screenplay. Then, dreams provided healing from a potentially life-threatening illness, guided my personal life, and dictated the script for a documentary on natural healing. I produced and hosted a pilot television program on dreams and wrote the book Plum Dreams Diary about mothers, men, and modern medicine. Drawing on a Master's degree in Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in Education, I developed and teach dream workshops. This way, I can share what I have learned about using dream wisdom for guidance, insight, and change. During the 2000 election, I remembered dreams which predicted with 100 percent accuracy the results. Interviews with others confirmed the power of dreams to report and understand news events. As a result, I discovered we each have an Inside Source that can reveal the truth. That truth is the fountainhead of health and happiness and peace. In the wake of 9/11, dreams, including a sludge-filled glass tumbler, helped me to report the real story of 9/11. Thus, 9/11 marked the beginning of my political consciousness-raising. In the aftermath of 9/11, I realized during the decade as a Washington political reporter and then the 20 years I lived on the West Coast immersed in the transformational and metaphysical, U.S. policies and actions killed millions of people around the world. In the aftermath of 9/11, I realized the blood of these deaths was on my hands. From these experiences, my goal: a new journalistic ethic -- one that weds truth and consciousness, one that uses dream guidance for social change, one that calls upon dream wisdom to create a more conscious world. My mission: to share the power of dreams so each of us can find inner healing and together create outer peace. CONTACT JOYCE
